Itinerary
Day 1, Arrive
Dubai
Upon arrive at the Dubai or Sharjah Airport we will meet and
assisted through customs & immigration and transferred
to our hotel.
Day 2, Dubai
Today we enjoy and experience both the modern and the ancient
of Dubai the magnificent Jumeirah mosque, the World Trade
Center - one of the highest buildings in the Middle East.
After a short break by the Creek we arrive to the oldest part
of the city, Bastakia where old wind-towered houses of wealthy
merchants are still to be seen. Close by we visit the fascinating
Dubai Museum in the Al Fahidi Fort which has been there almost
for two centuries defending the settlers of early days. We
continue our tour through Textile Market on our way to Abras,
local water taxis that will take us across the Creek to the
area of spice and gold souks. The rest of the day is free
at leisure to enjoy the beach. (B)
Day 3, Desert
Safari
This morning is free at leisure to enjoy the beach.
This afternoon we
will departure for 1001Arabian Night in the desert by 4 WD
vehicles, the jeeps will go through the desert of the golden
sand dunes. The dune bashing or desert driving continues with
the thrill of going up and down the dunes provoking many shrieks
and laughs full of excitement. Then we will proceed to the
main campsite to witness a memorable sight - the true Arabian
sunset with its glory. At the dusk there is an opportunity
to try some Camel riding. Nearby the Bedouin camp a delicious
Barbecue dinner is prepared on open fires. The set up in this
camp is of Persian rugs and traditional accessories to create
a typical Bedouin camp under the stars. The tempo of the music
increases as a Belly dancer starts dancing to the rhythm of
the Arabic music. After dinner we drive back to the hotel
for overnight. (BD)
Day 4, Abu
Dhabi
Today we departure for full day Abu Dhabi City. On our way
we will pass the Jebel Ali Port - the largest man-made port
in the world. Then we visit the Petroleum Exhibition and watch
a film about the amazing development in Abu Dhabi. Afterwards
we will stop at a carpet market where a huge variety of fabulous
carpets from all around the world. After lunch we will visit
the old souk where you can experience the bustle of everyday
life and the magnificent Abu Dhabi Corniche up to the end
of the breakwater that stretches out into the sea, giving
you a splendid view of the city skyline. We then visit a local
craft center where local handicrafts based on the traditional
‘tali’ handwork are made. Then we visit a Dhow
yard where traditional boats are built the same way they have
been for hundreds of years. Evening return to our hotel in
Dubai for overnight. (BL)
Day 4, Depart Dubai
Today we will be transferred to the airport for our flight
