The Routes of the Olive Tree takes you on a cultural tour of Greece’s olive regions.
The Routes of the Olive Tree has served tourists worldwide since 1998, after founder Giorgos Karampatos discovered the connection of olives between Pylos and many other areas along the Mediterranean Sea. His journey lasted 40 days and covered 16,000 kilometres of land. Today, the Routes of the Olive Tree work to promote the olive tree as a sustainable development, build bridges of peace and friendship between the countries that produce olive products, and show consumers the nutritional value of olive products.
Aside from itinerary packages that bring you on tours of the olive groves, you will experience art, culture, entertainment, and taste sampling of olive products. The itinerant exhibition provides information about the Mediterranean, the olive tree civilization, and intercultural dialogue.
Travelling with children? The Routes of the Olive Tree has a program set up for younger tourists to develop intercultural relationships, teach the health value of the olive tree, and show them the symbolism of the olive tree as it relates to the culture.
