Itinerary

Day 1, Arrive Istanbul
Upon arrival, we will be met and assisted through customs and transferred to our hotel.

Day 2, Istanbul
Today we visit the Hippodrome including the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and the underground Cistern. After lunch we visit the Suleymaniye Mosque, the magnificent gardens, galleries and pavilions of the Topkapi palace. Then we visit the famous old covered bazaar. Back to the hotel for overnight. (BL)

Day 3, Izmir / Ephesus / Izmir
Today we drive to Ephesus one of the most renewed classical sites in Turkey. Founded by the Ionions, it was situated on a natural harbor, which gave it its early prosperity. Ephesus, with its marble street, Temple to Artemis and Cercius library, was included by Alexander the Great in his "seven wonders of the world " Back to Izmir for overnight (BL)

Day 4, Izmir / Pergamum / Izmir / Istanbul
Today we drive to the city of Pergamum with the Hellenistic Ruins where the Great Citadel of Pergamum rises 1000m above the fertile Calcus Valley. After lunch we proceed to Pergamum Acropolis, Athena and Trajaneun Temple the library, the Great Theatre, Agora and the Roman Baths. Return to Izmir for our flight back to Istanbul for overnight. Day 5, Istanbul
Today we enjoy a cruise on the Bosphorus with a stop at the Egyptian Market, after lunch we drive across the Bosphorus Bridge to Camlica Hill on the Asian side for a panoramic birds-eye view of Istanbul, and then visit Beylerbeyi palace and Fishermen's Village. Overnight at our hotel. (BL)

Day 6, Istanbul / Athens
Today we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to Athens where we will be met & assisted then transferred to our hotel. Time to rest or to start exploring the Hellenic capital. (B)

Day 7, Athens
Today we visit the Acropolis and its fascinating museum, Panathenian Stadium and Temple of Olympian Zeus. In the evening an optional tour to Sound and Light show followed by dinner in a Greek tavern in the old Plaka with the sound of bouzouki music and folk dances. (B)

Day 8, Hydra / Poros / Aegena
Today we enjoy a delightful one day cruise in the Saronic Gulf, sail to the Island of Hydra and enjoy swimming, strolling or shopping. Lunch is served on board on our way to the picturesque island of Poros. Afternoon arrival in Aegina. Optional tour our visit the temple of Aphaia. Evening arrival in Athens and transfer to our hotel. Day 9, Delphi
Today we drive through the spectacular sites of Boetia, Thebes, and Levadia and arrive at Arahova, known for its colorful rugs and carpets. Proceed to Delphi, once known as the center of earth. We will visit the Temple of Apollo and the museum, exhibiting amongst other masterpieces, the ancient Greek sculpture of the Bronze Charioteer. Lunch will be served at a tavern in Delphi. Evening return to Athens. (BL)

Day 10, Depart Athens
Today we will be transferred to the airport for our flight back home. (B)
