Day 1 : Friday - Depart Canada / USA

Departure from Toronto, Montreal or New York on our overnight flight to Cairo. (In-flight meals)

Day 2 : Saturday - Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport we will be met and assisted through immigration and customs then transferred to our hotel.

Day 3 : Sunday - Cairo

Today we visit the great Pyramids of Giza and their guardian Sphinx, Memphis - first capital of the ancient kingdom to see the statue of Ramses II then to Sakkara to see the Step pyramid. Overnight at our hotel (BL)

Day 4 : Monday - Cairo

This morning we visit the Egyptian Museum which houses the treasures of King Tut then to the Citadel of Salah Eldien and Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Overnight at our hotel. (BL)

Day 5 : Tuesday - Aswan

This morning we are transferred to Cairo Airport for our flight to Aswan. (Optional trip by air to Abu Simbel *). Then we will be escorted to embark on the Nile cruise ship-our floating hotel for the next five days. After lunch, we sail by felucca a traditional Nile sailing boat, to view Kitchener Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Overnight in Aswan. (BLD)

Day 6 : Wednesday - Kom Ombo / Edfo

Today we visit the impressive Aswan High Dam and its huge lake, and the Temple of Philae. Then we cruise to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple shared by the Gods Sobek & Haroeris. Tonight we enjoy a special costume party featuring Native Egyptian and pharaonic style. Overnight in Edfo. (BLD)

Day 7 : Thursday - Esna / Luxor

This morning we explore the Temple of Horus, the falcon god. Then we sail to Esna and continue sailing to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor. (BLD)

Today we explore the wondrous Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. This afternoon we visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Overnight in Luxor. (BLD)

Day 9 : Saturday - Luxor / Cairo

Today we will be transferred to the airport for our flight back to Cairo.( Optional Day-Tour Alexandria) Overnight in Cairo. (B)

Day 10 : Sunday - Cairo / Amman

Today we will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for our flight to Amman Jordan. Upon arrival at Amman International Airport, we will be met and assisted through immigration and customs then transferred to our hotel. (B)

Day 11 : Monday - Amman / Jerash

This morning we tour Amman, known in Biblical times as Rabbath Ammon and under the Ptolemies as Philadelphia. Amman sits still splendily on its traditional seven hills. We visit the Roman Theater dating back to the 2nd Century AD. Nearby are the ruins of the Citadel Hill and the Archaeological Museum, Costume & Folklore Museum, Ashrafiah Mosque, King Hussein sports city and bazaar. After lunch, we drive to Jerash, known as the "Pompeii of the East" and is now the most beautifully preserved Greek-Roman city. We see also the Grand ruins, Temples of Artemis and Zeus, a vast Roman forum, Hadrian's Triumphal Arch and a mile long street of columns then we drive back to Amman for overnight. (BL)

Day 12 : Tuesday - Petra

Today we visit Jordan's most exciting and adventurous travel experience is this fascinating trip to Petra, hidden away in the encircling craggy rock mountains south of the dead sea. A three hour drive over the Desert Highway brings you to this "Rose-Red City" half as old as time, carved from living rock over 2,000 years ago by the Nabataeans. The only entrance to the fortress City is through a long, narrow passage. The sudden view of the Petra's most spectacular monument, the treasury is a dramatic sight. Beyond the treasury lie other unique monuments, carved right into the vari-coloured mountains are the high place of sacrifice, the Monastery and Roman styled palace tomb. Then we drive back to Amman for overnight. (BL)
