Itinerary
Day 1, Arrive
Istanbul
Upon arrival, we will be met and assisted through customs
and transferred to our hotel.
Day 2, Istanbul
Today we visit the Hippodrome including the Blue Mosque, St.
Sophia and the underground Cistern. After lunch we visit the
Suleymaniye Mosque, the magnificent gardens, galleries and
pavillions of the Topkapi palace. Then we visit the famous
old covered bazaar. Back to the hotel for overnight. (BL)
Day 3, Istanbul/Ankara/
Cappadocia
After breakfast check out for the Ankara flight.
Upon arrival, visits in Ankara -the capital city of Turkey-,
including the Anatolian Civilization Museum, where archaeological
pieces dating as far back as the prehistoric age are exhibited;
the Mausoleum of Ataturk, where the founder of the Turkish
Republic lies; and finally a visit to the Ancient Citadel.
After lunch in Ankara depart for Cappadocia. Dinner at hotel
in Cappadocia. (BLD)
Day 4, Cappadocia
After breakfast a visit to the natural citadel of Uchisar,
for a panoramic view of the region; then visit the Subterrenean
City of Kaymakli, established in the 7th century by Christians
fleeing persecution, in which a visitor is able to descend
several floor levels. After lunch, an extensive visit to the
Göreme Open Air Museum, with its 10th century churches
cut out of soft rock with beautiful interior frescoes, then
brief visits to Cavusin; Pasabag Valley, and finally Avanos
Village, famous for its pottery and handicrafts. Some time
for carpet show and shopping. (BLD)
Day 5, Cappadocia/Ankara/Izmir
After breakfast, first visit the authentic town of Urgup,
then the natural citadel of Ortahisar.
Depart for Ankara. Lunch en-route. Fly to Izmir. Meet at the
Izmir Airport and transfer to hotel.(BL)
Day 6, Izmir
/ Ephesus / Virgin Mary / Izmir
Today we will drive to Ephesus one of the most renowed classical
sites in Turkey. Founded by the Ionions, it was situated on
a natural harbor which gave it its early prosperity. Ephesus,
with its marble street, Temple to Artemis and Cercius library,
was included by Alexander the Great in his “seven wonders
of the world ”, visit the Shrine of the Vergin Mary,
where she lived her last years. Drive back to Izmir for overnight

Day 7, Izmir
/ Pergamum / Istanbul
Today we drive to the city of Pergamum with the Hellenistic
Ruins where the Great Citadel of Pergamum rises 1000m above
the fertile Calcus Valley. After lunch we proceed to Pergamum
Acropolis, Athena and Trajaneun Temple the library, the Great
Theatre, Agora and the Roman Baths. Return to Izmir for our
flight back to Istanbul for overnight. (BL)
Day 8, Instanbul
Today we enjoy a cruise on the Bosphorus with a stop at the
Egyptian Market, After lunch we drive across the Bosphorus
Bridge to Camlica Hill on the Asian side for a panoramic birds-eye
view of Istanbul, then visit Beylerbeyi palace and Fishermen’s
Village. Overnight in Istanbul. (BL)
Day 9, Depart Istanbul
Today we will be transferred to the airport for our flight.
