Itinerary

Day 1, Saturday - Depart
Departure from Toronto or Montreal for
our overnight flight to Tunisia.

Day 2, Sunday - Airport to Hammamet
Upon arrival at the Tunis airport, you will be
met and transferred to the Sheraton hotel in
Hammamet. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3, Monday - Hammamet or Port el Kantaoui/Kairouan/Sbeitla/Tozeur
Depart for Kairouan. Visit the Great
Mosque, the Barber Mausoleum and the
Aghlabite Pools. Proceed to Sbeïtla for
lunch and then a visit to the roman site.
Next, on to Tozeur for dinner and the
night. Visit the Dar Cheraiet Museum in
the evening.

Day 4, Tuesday - Tozeur/Douz,
Optional: Chebika/Tamerza
Today you have an optional jeep excursion
to the mountain oases of Chebika and
Tamerza. Return to Tozeur for lunch.
Drive to Douz,‘the gateway to the Sahara’.
Here you will have the opportunity to take
an optional camel ride into the dunes.
Dinner and overnight at the Hotel El Mouradi
Douz or similar.

Day 5, Wednesday - Duoz/Matmata/Médenine /Tataouine/Médenine/Gabès
Today starts with a drive to Matmata. You
will have a chance to visit a troglodyte
dwelling before continuing to Médenine to
visit the Ghorfas. Next to Tataouine for
lunch in the Hotel Sangho. After lunch
visit the Ksour villages of Ksar Haddada
and Chenini before departing for Gabès
via Médenine. Visit to the Jara spice market
in Gabès. Dinner and the night at the
Hotel Chems or similar.

Day 6, Thursday - Gabes/El Jem/ Mahdia/Monastir/Sousse
Drive to El Jem to visit the magnificent
Roman amphitheatre. Continue to Mahdia
for a visit to its ancient Medina. Next you
will travel to the old fishing port of
Monastir with a chance to visit the Ribat
and Bourguiba’s Mausoleum. Proceed to
Sousse where you will have a chance to
visit the Ribat and wander round its
ancient medina. Head to Hammamet for
dinner and the night at Hotel Sheraton or
similar.

Day 7, Friday - Hammamet/Nabeul/Douar Sidi
Visit the nearby town of Nabeul. Visit a
handicrafts centre and Nabeul Museum.
Enjoy free time to visit Nabeul’s Friday
market. Afternoon free at leisure. Drive to
Douar Sidi for an evening of fun, entertainment,
and tradition. Overnight in
Sheraton or similar.

Day 8, Saturday - Hammamet/Tunis

Carthagae/Sidi Bou Said
Head for the capital, Tunis, and visit the
Bardo Museum. Proceed to Sidi Bou Said
where you will have free time to look
around this picturesque town. Lunch in
Sidi Bou Said. Next, visit the Roman and
Punic sites at Carthage including, Antonin
Baths, Byrsa Hill excavations, Carthage
museum, Tophet, theatre, and the Punic
ports. Back to Hammamet.

Day 9-15, Sunday – Saturday - Hammamet
Leisure at your hotel. BD.

Sunday, Hammamet to Airport
End of tour with transfer to Tunis airport
for our flight back home.
